The sweet iPad Air is finally launching tomorrow, however we haven’t received yet an official sell-by date from Apple regarding its smaller sibling, the Retina display iPad Mini. But retailer Target isn’t as tight-lipped as Apple, as the company has mentioned on the online product listing for the Retina iPad mini a possible release date - November 21.
The November 21 launch date is not yet official, but it makes sense since it falls before Thanksgiving and before Black Friday, a major shopping holiday in the United States where a special attention is being given to consumer electronics. But if this launch date gets confirmed by Apple, this means that the iPad Mini 2 will be commercially released on a Thursday, unlike Apple’s pattern of releasing new products before the weekend.
The iPad Mini with Retina display product listing page is still active on Target’s website which means that Apple is either not bothered by this or that they are really going to launch the iPad Mini 2 on that date. To remind you, besides the Retina display, the iPad Mini comes with the new A7 64-bit chip architecture + the M7 motion co-processor and a new space gray color.
If you’re looking to buy an iPad Mini 2, you better get in line as Apple may not have enough iPad mini 2 units to meet the holiday demand.
