Kara Swisher at Re/code writes that the forthcoming Apple event to launch several different products will occur in the week of March 21, which is later than first thought, with previous rumours picking March 15 as the launch date for the new phone and iPad.
Swisher says that it is not known if the date was always going to be March 21, or if it has been recently moved. News of the launch date was first posted by Korean site KG News, and has now been confirmed by several other sources, although no official Apple source as yet.
It is now widely thought that Apple will be launching a new iPad Pro, a smaller iPhone, and possibly some additions to the Apple Watch line at the event. It is not known whether or not Apple’s recent dispute with the U.S. government over privacy issues has had any effect on the launch date, but that’s always a possibility.
