This is real science but fascinating nonetheless. When a chemist says "I ain't touching this stuff", you know you're in for a treat.

So don your lab coats and safety glasses, or in this case your suits of armor and welding goggles, stand well back and read on. This is fun.

A few years back I got to witness first hand a three foot thick wall of concrete being cut through using a thermic lance.......it was like watching all the bonfire nights being rolled into one.

The Archangel

That would be a sight worth seeing.

Oh it was, I'll never forget it. They use a similar process to weld jointless rail tracks insitu, it's another sight worth seeing but boy, you'd better stand well back.

I read it. It's an interesting point of view. But I think that fits to other themes as well. When my son had to do his Community service, he worked as ambulance man. He often told me, that when they watched "Emergency Room", they called it "error search series", because it was inaccurate.

Coincidentally, I came across "Independence Day". As I've read the article, I wonder what advice scientists had to give in this case...

Greetings :) I too love good Sci-Fi. I see here are some collectors of old science fiction things.

I have two original Star Trek manuscripts. The Menagerie and The Galileo Seven. Originally there was 50 copies of Galileo Seven and 69 copies of the Menagerie printed for the cast and crew. They are really interesting to read.

I wish I knew what they might be worth and how unusual they are nowadays??? Has anyone seen these in the sci-fi shows?

I apologize for the large size of the images. I had to put them in photo-bucket and link them through there.

This is the Galileo Seven. I can post the other one also if you are interested. Thank you for any information.

Scifan and the Admiral last seen heading for Alaska with a credit card in each hand. NICE post. Me? I wouldn't sell them no matter how much they're worth. That's scifi history there b

I'm sure they would be very interesting to a Star Trek fan. If the scripts could be attributed to a particular actor, the value would be enhanced. The best place to sell them would probably be an auction at a major Star Trek convention. I agree with Kevin, though, if they were mine, I'd never sell them. I own a Star Trek Generations script autographed by James Doohan, I'm never selling it.

Hmmm. As Kevin anticipated, I've just crossed the Yukon / Alaska frontier, presently at Northway Junction. Can you guide me the rest of the way so I can get a closer look at the fascinating specimens you've posted? ;)

Do you take MasterCard?

Seriously, you should try to make contact with Marc Cushman. He's the author of “These Are the Voyages: An Episode-by-Episode History of the Original Star Trek".
I've read that he's accessed the Star Trek production files which means he's seen all the drafts of TOS scripts. Certainly he could ballpark the collector value of the scripts.

You should be able to contact him via his home page: http://www.marccushman.com/mobile/

Good luck.

BTW - is it normal for a Kodiak bear to go to sleep on the hood of your car?

Yup. What's abnormal is if it stays there when you get out. By rights it should head in your direction with all the speed of...er...a hungry bear.
