Stories 1 thru 3 were adapted by Alan Dean Foster. They have very different writing styles and the A L I E N story arc was horribly muddied by the 3rd movie because of endless studio re-writes. 'Resurrection', the fourth film, was a Joss Whedon script and as much as I like his work he didn't do the screenplay justice. But Ann Crispin made up for everything with her story treatment in the novelization. Bill Sent from my iPad using iPF
