The Seattle Seahawks have just used specially developed iPad kiosks to register more than 20,000 fans for the team’s 15 open practices at Bing Training Camp in Renton, WA. The iPad kiosks were created by Mike James and design consultant Jer Schweickart specifically around the iPad’s distinct feature set. The kiosk’s iPad enclosures feature a radio-transparent, heavy-duty plastic body, which ensures that all Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G radio frequencies are totally unimpeded. The front bezel of the kiosk restricts the use of the iPad’s Home button, so that users can’t quit the kiosk application, and the iPad can be used in both landscape and portrait mode. Here’s Mike James talking about his creation being used by the Seahawks:

“The Seahawks needed professionally built iPad kiosks that were flexible, ADA compliant, and built to take the abuse of tens of thousands of fans over a few weeks. Our Exquisite iPad kiosks are really the only choice on the market.â€
