Ow do I locate my sent mail on the iPad 2 using rr as my mail server?

If RR (Road Runner?) is a POP email server (which I believe it is), then you can only see the email you sent from the iPad.
If it can be set up as an IMAP service (check with your provider) there there will be advanced settings in the account on the iPad where you can choose to have the Sent folder local or on the server. If you choose server and all your other devices are set up with IMAP then all your sent mail should end up there and accessible on the iPad.
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars; choose your account and tap around until you find the settings. (reminder, won't be there with a POP account).
In either case, this is how you get to your Sent folder in Mail on the iPad.
