Should I update my ipad 2?

I have an ipad 2 with ios 4.3.5 on it and no SHSH blobs of any sort. From what I understand, there is no way to upgrade to 5.01 and no way to downgrade to 4.3.3. Thus, I have no hope of jailbreaking until a solution is devised for 5.1. If I'm mistaken and am missing something please let me know and you will make my day. Otherwise, is there any reason I shouldn't update to 5.1 now?
