If you are a heavy Skype user and you also have updated to iOS 7, you have probably noticed that the look and feel of your favorite communication tool was not synchronized with the design lines in the latest iOS update. Last month, Microsoft brought a basic level of iOS 7 support to its Skype iOS apps, but it seems that only now the app has been finally redesigned for iOS 7.
The new release, Skype 4.13, is now available to download from the App Store. The “refreshed look and feel ” of the app means it now has a cleaner design, new fonts, and also, support for iOS 7’s new keyboard. There also have been made improvements to accessibility, audio and video calling. Those who need VoiceOver assistance can now rejoice as the feature now announces the senders name when messaging and also brings improvements for group chats.
The updated Skype app will work for the following iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch models: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch (3rd generation), iPod Touch (4th generation), iPod Touch (5th generation). iPad, iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), iPad Mini. Do note that you have to have at least iOS 5.0 to run the app.
If you already have the updated Skype app on your iPhone, iPod or iPad let us know what you think of it. If not, then follow the links from below to download from Apple’s App Store.
