Sound effects icon

Does anyone know how to get the sound effects icon off my screen. I have tried refreshing, rebooting, and turning it off. I have taken my iPad out of its case, still no luck. I can' t get it off. Someone please help me!

Hi, larnett! Welcome to iPF!

In most cases rebooting and restarting should help. If it didn't work at first, try a second time.
You could also try to turn the volume up and down again. Make sure it's reacting as it should.
If you've set your side switch to Mute, turn this one on and off a few times.

Are you sure the volume button is not stuck? Fiddle around with it and let us know. What iPad do you have I, II, III or IV? Do you have full volume in apps ?, can you turn down the volume using the toggle button (not the slider)?

So I have discovered that when I took the case off there is a slight indent where the sound buttons are. How do I try to fix this without damaging the iPad?

If it was me larnett I would just make sure that the toggle switch is in the "neutral" position (not stuck up or down) and use the slider to adjust your volume from now on.
