Sounds Went Away on iPad 3

Just got a new iPad 3, and the keyboard clicks, the send eMail whoosh, and couple of other sounds have stopped sounding. They appear to be configured properly, but still, I got me no keyboard clicks. What am I missing? Please HELP!

Hi there--

Check your settings.

Go to settings/ general/side switch. Turn on than off the Mute button.
