Square Enix has today announced what sounds like a very cool concept indeed, with the news that its 3-million-downloads-and-counting zombie-themed collectible card battle RPG game for iOS, Deadman’s Cross, is set to feature a collaboration with Capcom’s legendary Resident Evil franchise.
From today, Resident Evil’s Raccoon City will be added as a limited-time hunt area in Deadman’s Cross, where players can find exclusive cards of creatures from the Resident Evil series along with the usual Deadman cards.
Players who complete a collaboration quest will get a Raccoon City Permit, which enables them to enter the Raccoon City hunt area. The collaboration will only last until Sunday July 27, so don’t hang around if you want to get in on the Resident Evil action.
Gameplay in Deadman’s Cross involves hunting down Deadmen and adding them to your card collection. Players get to build, customise and train the undead hordes and use them for defensive purposes.
Absolutely love this idea of involving some of the most iconic characters in one of the most famous and well-loved zombie-hunting games of all time, Resident Evil!
