Square Enix has announced the release of a new free-to-play roleplaying game, Guardian Codex, that is the work of the talented team responsible for the popular card battling game Guardian Cross.
Set in a war-torn world divided between the Empire and Resistance forces, the game sees you taking on the role of Resistance Agents who are sent into the virtual “Codex” to find and capture the legendary Guardians.
The fully customizable teams of Guardians are your army to help you battle the waves of enemies inside the Codex. They can also be used in multiplayer mode when you team up with up to three players to take on even stronger foes.
Fans can look forward to taking part in limited-time special events that offer bonus rewards.
The more than 300,000 players who pre-registered for the game prior to its release will all receive a 4-Star Banshee Guardian, 6,000 Codex Credits, and five Magic Stones when they download the game.
A special login promotional event will also kick off tomorrow, November 6, where players will get extra Codex Credits each day that they log into Guardian Codex.
