Scenario #1: I was at a mobile store trying finalize an order. They needed some information that they couldn't look up and I didn't have, but I had my trusty iPad 2. I whipped it out, found the necessary info and we went on business as usual.

Scenario#2: I had been working on this project for a while from home on my iPad. I emailed my boss an update that he didn't open in time for the team meeting. I whipped out my trusty ipad, hooked it up to the monitor and we were off to the races.

I love this device just a little less that my boyfriend. It's freakin awesome!

Anyone have a story where the iPad saved the day?

You could have done the same thing with any laptop or netbook.

Sure, after hauling it out of its case, turning it on and waiting for it to boot. Then there's the difference in weight...

My Win 7 netbook sits in a corner, unused. Too slow.

Luv my 'pad. I keep copies of articles and reference material on my pad that's been handy a few times that I didn't have the paper copy.

The killer app for me has been the mapping function, I often need to get around in newer subdivisions to multiple addresses and the ability to pinch or expand the map is great for what I need.

How true. I have an i5 laptop, top spec, 17.6 windscreen win 7 64 bit. It has not been out of it's case even for updates since I got my iPad 2. In fact, I guess I better do that :)
