Sync movies

Hello everyone, can somebody help me sync my iPad 2 and transfer movies from desktop, i succeeded with synchronizing music files only so far but as for movies a message that requires me to back the iPad up appears on the iTune bar, and prompt me to back the device up yet it fails to back up at the end, an error message that reads "iPad has disconnected, back up failed as a reason" appears.
