Is there a a way to connect to the computer and download email addresses to the IPAD2?

Hi, welcome to iPF!

There's the possibility to import email addresses to your iPad with the email account, if they're stored there. When you set it up, enable "Contacts" as well, and they should appear in the app on your iPad.
