The Telltale Blog has confirmed that Telltale Games’ eagerly awaited Game of Thrones episodic game series will be coming to iOS, as well as Xbox One and PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC/Mac.
Based on HBO’s award-winning TV show, Game of Thrones—A Telltale Games Series features the story of House Forrester, when they find themselves in a tricky spot during The War of the Five Kings, where the members of the household have to stop the house being destroyed.
Telltale says that the series is based on the world, characters and events of the HBO TV show, which is itself based on George R. R. Martin’s books.
The series’ storyline is set towards the end of Season Three of the TV show, and will finish just before the end of Season Five. The player will get to explore such locations as King’s Landing and The Wall, and new locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.
House Forrester has not, as yet, appeared in the HBO show, but does feature in George R. R. Martin’s book A Dance with Dragons.
The game is playable from five different points of view, with each character you play being a member of House Forrester, either a direct family member, or someone in service to House Forrester.
Telltale says that getting to play as five different characters across the series means that players must be mindful of the knock-on effects of their actions, which may later affect other characters that you play in the game.
