The "Anything Goes" thread

Sorry, last erased by mistake! Second try...

The talk of EPs keeps putting one of the first I bought--the Everley Brothers "Cathy's Clown" into my faggoty brain.

I'm supposed to be working, not enjoying this trip down memory lane :-)
The job is to illustrate coming through stressful periods and moving forward positively into calmer waters. Seems quite a good subject for just now but don't have any useful ideas yet at all. But want to get it done before the olympic closing ceremony tomorrow...

Suggestions? (freebies only please, no munny!!)

Kayak competitions go through rough waters and end up in a smoother area where they can reach the bank and get out. Your description makes me think only of being in/on water.

Has everybody had enough coffee yet?

That's a nice analogy. The canoe slalom contests in the Olympics tell that story, although calm water was hard to find at the end of the course. I loved the bit where the coaches, family and co jumped into the pool with the winning team at the end of the course.

Thanks Czevski, I was starting to think along the same lines. It's for the latest issue of a newsletter so that idea could be interpreted as related to the Olympics, or not. Which is fine.

Thanks too mollysmom! But I'm no good at urban so rural it will have to be. And wet rural seems to be the way to go:-)

So did I! But thanks too Richard. That canoe slalom seems to have it all--the white water raging, morphing into still, calm river--but of course, still working its way to the sea.

Hmmm. Now for the translating of those ideas into an image that sends the right message... And before the closing ceremony at 9pm. (Not because that's a deadline but because I want to watch it--like the athletes--having done the job:-))

Thank you folks:-)

Be bold. Set the tone by commandeering the schools public address system first day back and play Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall."
