I agree, the stuff they put on these days, that they call sit-coms.....well....I guess all the good writers must have died.

Frazier

Friends

Bob Newhart Show......"I'm Larry, this is my brother Daryl and this is my other brother Daryl..."

Mary Tyler Moore

Night Court

Name anything these days that compare to any of these!

I enjoy "Big Bang Theory". While nerdy, it's a credible rival to shows like "Friends" and "Cheers."

"How I Met Your Mother" is very creative. Comparable to "Newhart".

Gosh, all of these brings back fond memories of shows I used to enjoy! Frasier, Friends, Night Court!

Do you remember Bosom Buddies?

What about the Gong Show? Kind of hockie, but very funny. Or the Donny and Marie Osmond Show? The list goes on!! ;)

I've tried them Admiral, but for some reason they just don't grab me....maybe it's me that has just got older and harder to amuse. :) By the way, The Body Farm was extremely interesting and I find myself drawn more to documentaries than anything. However, as I mentioned in another thread, I seem to have lost control of the clicker lately, probably because of this iPad sitting on my lap. :D

I know ski, I grew up with The Goon Show, Faulty Towers, Benny Hill, Are You Being Served, On The Buses, Dixon of Dock Green, Quatermass, The Lone Ranger, Cisco Kid, Monty Python.......oh I could go on. The memories of amazing entertainment. Ho hum.

Been watching Doc Martin and Downton Abby which are recent, but also Simon and Simon, the original Hawaii Five-0, and just finished To the Manor Born

You want funny? Check out Mrs Brown's Boys. Its Irish, but I believe the BBC managed to get their hands on it.

Edit: YouTube is loaded with clips from the series. Warning: NSFW.

I've got the whole set, I'll post photos of the rest over the next few days.
