What's new

The "Anything Goes" thread

It doesn't grow old, eh, Ski?

Lift the lid, wait about 5 seconds, type in password and you're good to go.

It is really a neat device. The air actually starts up right away...as soon as you lift the lid. I enjoy it more and more each day. I have learned to disable plugins and remove java. Download flash and trash .dmc files. I know now what finder is and an creating a folder in windows is creating an event on iPhoto! That a two finger tap is a right click of the mouse and that swipes exist on the track pad. Lots learned already.

I still haven't gone to my first OneonOne course. I have a year on that.

I did the additional updates yesterday. Haven't done FaceTime on it, but have iMessaged people.

Sci...do a screenshot of our home screen when you get you get a chance!

Ugh, I'm sick of my old MacBook right now. Won't let me back up my iPad even though I have 120 GB free. I tried this workaround involving Terminal where you can move the backups to an external hard drive, and of course I can't get it to work. I got all 100GBs of my iTunes library transferred, but now it's having trouble locating some if the files, so my iPod crashes when I try to play certain podcast episodes, and iTunes is telling me it encountered 100 problems when trying to sync because it couldn't located a ton of songs :(
Ugh, I just want to throw it out the window! :(

Why don't you head over to Appleforums and see if you can get a little help, Goofy?

I forgot about Appleforums! I made an account a while ago and only made a few posts :)

I am certain they can help you get your issue sorted. I managed to save my music file from iTunes off my PC to transfer onto my MBA when I purchased it. I haven't yet done the time machine/capsule back up yet. I figure that my one on one classes will give me good help on that.

I synced my iPad mini with my MacBook Pro and it erased all my album cover art. How do I get it back? Also, I can't find out how to check on how much memory has been used on the MacBook.
Another problem I've noticed is that I can only access the upper portion of the pages in iTunes when I'm syncing the iPad. I can't scroll down the page to see the lower half.

I'm on a hunting expedition and have successfully found, trapped, and bagged my prey. More to follow.

Coming in late. That is one great piece of equipment sci (pause for sigh of envy) And I love those unboxing pictures; almost a traditional thing to do with a new Apple product. Good choice!
