in the news today....urban myth or something to be concerned about?

Well that's not good at all!

I was getting zapped by my 3GS if I answered a call while it was charging.

Apple replaced it for me straight away, no questions asked! Which made me think they were well aware of this issue.

When someone says they're going to beat you to within an inch of your life.. how do they know when to stop?

They use a stick, yard stick.

One assumes that in most of the rest of the world, they'd say "centimeter of your life", and use a meter stick. Which is why we U.S. folk prefer the old system. There's more room for error when measuring out a beating.

Why hello old friend. How are you? Or as my daughter keeps telling me, Howzit hanging! Teenagers hey?

That's just great. My school year is coming to a close. Last official day tomorrow and then Monday and Tuesday are our sports days. I help run the athletics. I am the timer and the score keeper. I can't believe another school year has come and gone again. Time flies!

Time does fly. Enjoy the summer holidays, Hayles.

BTW, I've posted some pics of horse drawn vehicles in the Travel stories sub forum in a thread called Attractions in London. Enjoy.

Hayless I am a bit confused about your school term ending now.Or is it Summer school? our secondary schools end in the last weeks of June and return in The beginning of Sept. I was under the impression it was similar in the UK.

The British schools only get 6 weeks off in the summer, end of July to beginning of September.

Roy Rob is correct. 6 weeks then back to the grindstone. We come back on the 2nd and the kids come back on the 4th September.
