We used to have maids in South Africa. I saw them more than my parents! It was normal, growing up there! My mum did all the cooking though and the gardener just kept everything tidy outside. We only had one maid and one gardener. They lived on the property and sent home their wages to the outer villages. They got all our outgrown clothing as well. Dad could speak zulu so he could talk to them. My parents worked in their supermarket and the hours were 5.30am to 10pm at night. Explains a lot if I analyse it!

We still have domestic workers in SA.

Ours passed away 2 months back after many years with us we still have a handy man though who doubles up as the maid..

Are you South African? I was born, brought up and left there when I was 21. We moved here 5 times and the fifth trip, I never went back!

I come from Durban! I was born at St Augustines hospital and lived near the University. Durban Girls High old girl me! Have lost touch with everyone though. My brother lives in Margate still. Runs a large supermarket there.

I only went to Jo'burg on the way to UK.

I live in Somerset UK as it says in my signature.

Are you on the IPF app or the website? In setting or user CP you can make a signature so you don't repeat information all the time! I did it on the website but you can stop or start it on the app though.

I am using the app on the iPad... No clue where / how nor how to change profile pics etc ...

I think he means your signature, it now excludes your location....you have changed it again together with your avatar.
