The Apple iPad Camera Connect Kit won,t work.

I am trying to get the Apple Camera Connect Kit to work on my iPad2. with the USB device it keeps saying device uses to much power, the Card Reader device just will say no pictures to download or it won't do anything.
I read in reviews some posting this same thing that I am getting but some others say it works great.
Now it does get pictures from my camera just fine.

Any help is welcome.

Got if all fixed this is what I did to make it connect to memory card. I hhhhhhhhhhmmmmmm......vvvvAnd it connected.
