I preferred the old version. Even if they wanted to streamline, I wouldn't have gone as far as they did.

I don't like it either.

As you know, it hasn't infected me yet......but from what I have seen I would rather stay as I am. That said, in a years time I will have completely forgotten about what it was like before the changes......or maybe an hours time as my memory isn't that good!

I am now using Diigo which used to be iChromy a sort of 'Chrome' analog.

One of the reviews mentioned banner ads at the bottom of the screen, because Diigo is free, but there are none .... maybe when they changed the name they removed them.

As with iCab you are able to identify the browser as something other than a mobile device. I use Mac OS X Safari 5 ...
