I'm so jealous, but mine is one the way. I ordered 2 a week ago from apple.com for my boyfriend and I (no way I'm gonna share). I can't wait. I very tempted to go to a store and pick them up an cancel that order, but we'll see.

My only complaint so far is the wireless seems really flakey compared to my laptop and my iPhone... Drops out waaaaaay to much, every few minutes sometimes!
got my iPad 2 today in fwact ive been up 25 hours now, i worked last night and headed out this am to find an iPad 2, target- no, best buy- no, called apple stores (2) no, was ready to just order online, went into 2nd Target with wife and their was one ipad2 in case, it was a white 16 gig 3G verizon, i was shooting for a plane jane white 16 gig wifi, but bit the bullet and bought it right there, im glad i did.

I originally ordered mine via Apple.com with the smart cover and the HDMI adapter. Apple promptly sent the smart cover and the adapter but had a ship date of the 21st. Today, I pretty much had nothing planned so I went to my local Apple store at 5am and was 2nd in line.
When they finally handed out tickets, there was about 35 people behind me. Lucky for me, I ended up getting the 64 gb black wifi model. Loving it very much.

I was at the mall of America this weekend and I thought that there was absolutely no way that there would be any in stock. I didn't ask anybody if they had them because of all the shipping delays and the fact that nobody has them. Anyway i went into the best buy there and started drooling over the iPad 2. A salesman came up to me (what a surprise) and told me that they literally just got in their first real shipment of new iPads. I asked him how many they had gotten and he said, "all that i can say is we have more than a few, it's our first real shipment". I waited for about an hour to make up my mind and boy am I glad I got one because they were all sold out after an hour and a half, turns out that they had only gotten 15.
Unfortunately the only version they had received was the 16gb wifi only version in black, I would've really liked to have the 32gb wifi version in black but you know what I still love it! I am extremely happy with it.

hey ipadfanny, i got the exact same accessories as you lol same color smart cover.
i didnt hesitate at Target after spending my zombie hours running all over orlando and checking the ipad2 stock trackers. i didnt raly want 3g, and i wont activate it but otherwise happy. i had given up looking and just wandered over to the near empty case at target.

Had trouble locating an iPad 2 in Atlanta as well. Called 2 Apple stores, both said if they got a shipment, they were sold out within the hour. Nothing at Target or Wall-Mart or Best Buy. About to give up and I saw a post on Google mentioning Micro Center. Gave them a call and, "oh yeah, we got plenty!" Guess folks just don't think to check there.
I ordered my iPad on line about nine days ago and was told that it won't be here until April 29. I called some stores and got on some waiting lists, and now I have my iPad.
Hey, question: Why do people (inlcuding iPad owners) say this thing is not a computer? I know it's not as powerful and doesn't do as much as a full computer does, but I figure it's a computer nontheless, no? I hear people say that they won't use the iPad for something but will use their computer.

I officially got my iPad! I called a target near me on a fluke and they and it. I'm a lot better at the virtual keyboard than I thought. I love it! I've already got some cool apps too. Can't wait until I find out more about what it does.

Got mine this afternoon and I'm loving it! Yeah, the camera's grainy, but SO WHAT?? I'm having fun with it!
I love how the new iPad feels in my hands...easier to hold and feels a bit lighter, too.
But the thing that gets me REALLY excited is the thing just ZIPS along, even with a ton of apps in the background.

That is exactly how i feel about the cameras most people act like this is supposed to replace their camera, but the cameras are absolutely great for video chat and that's all they need to be good for because lets be honest this thing is awkward to take photos with.
