The Free App A Day iPad offering is a real winner today, especially if you like Match-3 games. The Rise of Atlantis HD comes from Playrix, who seem to have a great track record with Match-3 games, also having brought Fishdom HD to the iPad. The game usually costs around $4, so it really is a bit of a bargain. It’s beautifully presented and a real joy to play, boasting gorgeous, shimmering graphics, lots of power-ups and bonuses, and 77 levels that take you on a journey around the ancient lands of Greece, Troy, Phoenicia, Babylon, Egypt, Carthage and Rome to gather the seven greatest powers of the patron god of the Atlanteans, Poseiden. In typical Match-3 fashion it starts off easy but soon gets more difficult, which is when you get more and more grateful for the power-ups. An absolute delight to play, and if you’ve never bothered with Match-3 games before, this would be the perfect introduction for you. I'm loving it already!
