ModMyi.com reports today that they have had a tip from a Toys R’ Us employee to the effect that the toy store will start selling the iPad 2 in May. According to the site, rumours that Toys R’ Us Might be getting the iPad 2 have been floating around for a while, but this is the first time they’ve heard directly from an actual employee. To back up the story, they’ve also obtained copies of what looks like official documents from Toys R’ Us instructing employees in the wondrous ways of the iPad 2 and how to sell it to the customer and all that sort of thing (shouldn’t think they’ll need to be convincing a lot of people, these things pretty much sell themselves, Mr Toys R’ Us!) As ModMyi.com notes, if Apple does move the iPad 2 into Toys R’ Us, the store will join an ever-growing list of non-Apple retailers such as Best Buy, Walmart and Target who are also stocking the iPad 2.
