What's new

Tribez

On the Ancestors' Atoll island there is a "water hut" attached to each island. Each hut can be worked with two men, but it doesn't say what the purpose of these huts is. Does anyone know what they are for, or are they there for a future quest? I don't recall them arriving but, probably, it was with a recent update. I must say that I am enjoying Tribez again after a period of inactivity. Cheers, Nutty

I am not sure what they are for but if you destroy them they reappear!

Hi all, Mine crashes sometimes when I visit friends. Cheers, Craig username: y1mfagh
Hi! Pls accept me invitation to be my neighbour

I need duty free items, specially cognac and whiskey. Pls tell me what you need. Have a nice day :)

I keep playing Tribez as a respite from the airport city problems...
I have a Carnival Float which was a prize from a quest on the island of the ancients and I now have a Big Walrus on the marble fiord island. The former seems to auto replenish every day at which point it can be harvested for a few different (random) commodities. The Walrus needs to be fed with fish to get it to deliver its prize commodities. Getting the fish to feed the walrus is quite time consuming and commodity-costly. I haven't yet got to the position that I can feed the walrus, so I don't know what the reward is.
However, does anyone know what happens when you ultimately harvest from this type of object if your island's warehouse is already full? Does the reward go into your inventory, or is it just lost forever?
I ask, because the effort to get the fish for the big walrus is significant and I usually have all my islands' warehouses full. I don't want to milk the walrus if I then lose all the resultant prize commodities because my warehouses are already full.

Hope this makes sense to someone,
Incidentally, does anyone know what reward the Walrus gives? (there are three levels, depending upon how many fish you feed it).

Haven't got to the point where I can feed the Walrus yet, I'm still chasing Murlods for stuff. But if experience of previous items such as the Carnival Platform is anything to go by, if your warehouse is full you lose the reward, which makes it all fairly pointless.

I've made some progress in the quests related to feeding the walrus...
But, be warned:-
If you are anywhere close to this quest:
There are three types of so called "dives" (or deals) when the walrus is fed. Each dive (deal) costs an increasing number of fish (the fish need to be earned first).
Upon feeding the fish to the walrus:
1. You complete the first deal (the other two are blocked at this stage). The first deal costs 20 fish.
2. After completeing the first deal, a timer starts to work (it times for 24 hours), during this time only you can order the second and the third deals. The 2nd deal costs 30 fish and the 3rd deal costs 60 fish.
3. If you do not complete deals 2 and 3 in time, the quest will start from the beginning (only first deal available, the other two blocked).
I think that you can buy more time to complete deals 2 and 3 by using crystals, but I'm not totally sue of this and it's unlikely to be worth doing this.
I assume that you get a reward for doing just the first deal, even if you can't complete the 2nd and 3rd deals in time. Similarly if you complete 1 and 2 but not 3.

Now, as the fish take a minimum of 5 hours to earn 3 fish, you can see that it will take some effort and time to get sufficient fish to make even the first deal with the walrus which costs 20 fish. To hope to make walrus deals 2 and 3 then you really need a minimum of 120 fish before launching into the 24 hour window for walrus deals 1, 2 and 3.

I haven't yet done any walrus deals so I don't know whether the resultant prizes at each of the 3 walrus-deal levels are decent.
I imagine that the prizes will not be worth all the effort, but it will be necessary to do 10 walrus deals to complete the main quest.

(It all becomes a little more clear when you get the walrus which may be some way off for lower level players).

Hope this makes sense to a few of you. (Can you tell that I'm bored with Airport City).

I need to get a life!

Yep. Very bored with AC. The same collect coins and send flights, other things have taken off from our runways.

Still not there yet, I need 3 more light bulbs from the cave, which seems to be taking forever to get to the next stage. I too wonder if it's going to be worth the effort, it's beginning to sound like the timed maps in AC. The cynic in me thinks it's just a ploy to get people to buy crystals, ah well back to the real world.

When you do ultimately see this quest, there are two elements to it. The first is to get the fish from the shop and you need to complete these transactions 40 times to complete that part of the quest. Unfortunately, when I complete each transaction and order fish, it isn't being shown on the counter. As a result, whilst I have already completed about 30 transactions, the quest still shows as zero completed.
I sent a ticket into GI, and after a week, they sent me a long reply which, in essence, seems to acknowledge that this is a technical fault that will be addressed and rectified in a future update.
I've no idea when this will happen, but surely it's a first for GI to accept they have a fault and for them NOT to blame me or call me a cheat!

Must be a different team to the airport city bunch.

Definitely a first, GI wrong, I don't believe it. Still haven't found any more light bulbs in that damn cave, which is strange considering I used to work in one. Still new things to worry about now as there is an update, which I hope fixes your problem. There are new quests for higher level players and some cosmetic changes.

It does register if you do the 24 hour deal at the fish shop
