Upgrading from 4.3.5 to 5.0 keep getting 3194 error

Hi every body i read this on a yahoo questionar and i did it and it worked ,
I downloaded the tiny umberlla and then u will find in the middle of it a bottom called "advanced" click it and then UNCHECK THE BOX OF CYDIA HOST
I did it this way
N.B i dont have blobs or anything of that kind of stuff i just did it that way and it solved the problem instanly

I can't understand why this would help, your trying to update to an iOS that Apple is still signing, you aren't Jailbroken, so it should have been plain sailing!?
I thought 3194 error only occurred when an iPad was Jailbroken, to sort the problem go into DFU Mode and then let iTunes do it's bit.

Look i am not a professional at all in this but i think it's like a third party interfance it really worked with me
Plus i did it cuz i was afraid to delete any of the host stuff i read about and i saw videos on you tube ,it was the least invasive percedure to do just downloaded a 2.8MB tinyumberlla and unchecked the box and i went good thnx god
