MacRumors has a very useful and interesting post that pulls together all the latest video previews and snippets of info that are floating around the internet today about the iOS 4.2 beta. The first video clip, courtesy of AppAdvice, features multitasking, the universal email inbox, and the Game Center launch screen. MacRumors says that according to documentation that came with the video, you can view seven apps in the multitasking tray in landscape mode and six apps in portrait mode. Plus AirPlay can be started from Photos, to enable you to stream content to Apple TV, when it's released.

Unfortunately for those interested in the new AirPrint printing service, which needs to be interfaced with a Mac running Mac OS 10.6.5 beta to work, its not featured as part of the walkthrough.

The MacRumors post also links to an Engadget video preview and very informative feature which concentrates on multitasking, and a post on iLounge featuring a complete breakdown of the beta, with lots of screenshots of the many changes it reveals. All very exciting stuff, iOS 4.2 can't come soon enough!

That is a TERRIBLE video.

"it looks like they didn't add an airplane mode..."

2 inches up, airplane mode switch.

And why the heck ni talk about folders?? That is THE main reason, along with multitasking that I would upgrade my iPad, sigh.
