View old emails

How can i view old email? I've set the "Show" setting to 1000 latest mails. I want to se messages i've got a year ago. Also the emails in the other folders. I sync with Exchange.

The Answer (I have a Danish iPad, so I doesn't know how my translate is...):
Settings-->Mail-->Exchange account-->Day to sync-->No limit
Then: Settings-->Mail-->Show-->Latest 1000
