VPN (how to configure iPad VPN to connect to a Windows Server)

Any advise how to use VPN on iPad and connect to a Windows Server?

Facts:
- VPV connects (logo on top)
- cannot load any page on safari or email
- any idea how can I get access to the network drives
- any recommendation how can I visualize this from our Windows Server
- is any downloadable software to do this
