Peter Kafka at AllThingsD has a report today on what sort of March Madness coverage fans will be able to get streamed to their iPhones and iPads, in which he says that not all of the coverage will be free to view this year, with some of it being behind a paywall. According to Kafka, in order to watch some of the college basketball tournament’s games on a mobile device, as well as on your PC or Mac, you’ll have to pay a one-off $3.99 fee, which will enable you to watch the whole tournament. This will give you complete access, as well as interactive features. Any games broadcast by CBS will be available to view for free at the CBS website, but only on your PC or Mac, not on your iOS device. The games will be split between Turner and CBS, with Turner having a total of 41 games, so either way you won’t have to pay for all of them.
