Watch MLB on iPad2 ?? (not mirroring)

We are new to an iPad. My wife wants to watch one team (SF Giants) on the iPad when we are traveling in our RV. iPad has WiFi and 3G with AT&T data plan.

She bought something and now can listen to the game and there are icons and pictures of stuff......but no live TV.

Can this be accomplished and most importantly.......how?
