My goodness the East is sure getting hammered this Winter, Bennettb! I have a brother-in-law who is in Boston and he shared his backyard picture. Quite pretty, but lots of snow. Of course, the kids were happy with the school closed for the day!

That picture was at around 2500 feet. It is very unusual to see snow in March, it is not normal to get snow here at all (or rain either). The only other time I've seen this since being here was a little spot on the way to work had a 20 second flurry but nothing stuck. Farther up north and above 3300-3500 feet it happens much more often.

Back up to 50°F now with a low 60s high today and supposed to be 70° tomorrow. The wet will cause a really brief flash of green that will last a couple of weeks. Best time to be out here is after a half inch or more of rain. Rivers, lakes and plants spring up out of nowhere.
