What's new

Weather

It hasn't risen too much do far. Most of the rise in water levels will come in the next week or so.

This morning, BBC News brought a story from the Mississippi plains. A farmer's land was flooded. He was concerned that melt water would extend the flooding in time and extent. He cannot plant crops for some time obviously because of the water, but then the land will be waterlogged for some time after the waters have receded.

Apparently the farmers need 2 to 3 seasons to recover from flood.

Hi there Bennetb.

It's a seating pod. It could work as a greenhouse, I suppose. It's certainly our new toy ;)

I reckon that would be so cosy sitting in there with rain pattering down. (Posted by someone who does not see enough rain;))

Crystal clear deep blue skies, low humidity, light breeze at around 18 mph (almost 30 kph), currently 80°F (about 26°C), not too much dust in the air. Should be into the upper 70s within the hour.

Currently 7°C and cloudy. Quite a bit of snow melted in my back yard today.

Quite noticeable just how much is melting in such a short time, keep the dinghy close!
