It's like everything, these sayings get changed over the years and have nothing whatsoever to do with the original meaning. Didn't we have a sayings thread once? I liked seeing all the sayings from around the world.

Sigh....cats, dogs, cannon and brass balls,monkeys...I am so tired of this weather! Can we think-Sunshine, margaritas, flip flops, cocktails out on the veranda...?

We just shoveled ourselves out of 6 inches of snow...we are told that there is more to come!! I want Spring, soon!!

It's back to cold here in Florida. We had a long spell of early summer. Back to the mid 30's tonight and very windy.
We did get a decent rain last night after four months of almost nothing.

It's -3°C down here in Zummerzet. It feels colder than that. Nothing quite like a warm fire though to warm the cockles of your heart. How about that one Richard?

It's got to be in the minuses here. Still not as cold as reported for Lincolnshire, -16?, the other day.

We've just had a very light dusting of snow. It looks nice, and the cloud cover looks pretty snow-laden. Ah well..

In Warsaw it's -14 . I am currently in cape town and it's warm its 21 so it's hot . Well not that hot mAybe because I am use to polands weather . Which is sooo cold. Brrrr…

been cold here in NYC these past 2 or 3 days. highesst temp was maybe around 1C and a low of -5C.

It's milder this morning. I've yet to see whether it is still raining, but suspect not.
