What's new

What are you guys doing right NOW??? ;)

I'm about to put photos of Cudham village on the Architecture three.

I'm currently trying to work out the What is it challenge.

I am fitting a piece of thin acetate film to the front of the iPad, not to protect it but to provide a very slight bite for the pointed stylus. The silky smoothness that most people like isn't so good for drawing.

Don't know yet whether it will work OK but if it doesn't, the cost will have been minimal. If anyone else is interested in iPad artwork with stylus, I will report back.

So far, so very good. But needs more testing to find out how it works for other uses & tools.

I've given up with my stylus. The tip has softened to make for very inaccurate typing, not that it was that good in the first place!

I prefer to use the keyboard for writing up long pieces of text.

My birth year and of course the year of the horse. How appropriate.

That makes you a glowing horsey golden girl then!
Here are some golden roses and a priceless "bullion" ram to celebrate your gold:

(The ram is situated in the swish and historic Clothworkers Hall, one of the 12 most important old medieval craft guilds in the City of London. I took this photo on a very rare visit a few years ago, with some reunion girlfriends from the grammar school I went to, Mary Datchelor Girls School in Camberwell, London, SE5, which was the "Clothworkers School". The Guild connection with my own later interest in textiles (aka "clothworking"!) was just a coincidence at the time, but one I valued very much later on.

Cool. We had an interesting day at school. We had an Olympic day, we were all put into Greece, Russia, South Africa and USA. I was, of course, South Africa (born and bred). We tied with Russia for gold. Yay! We had all the different sports including Paralympics and art, music, IT, DT, etc... All of it related to Olympics. Great day was had by all.
