Suppose it might depend on the proportion of wrongs experienced. A over-preponderance of wrongs might be so depressing as to turn one off completely from making forward progress. And it follows, vice versa.

Generally most people learn from experience unless there's an organic reason they can't. Otherwise, standing still is a choice.

Hi, I'm sorry you missed them. So, to make up for it I hope these will do.....

Wow, how very kind! I really appreciate the thought; feeling better already :-)
Where were they taken?
That "knotted" plume is great & daringly dodgy-looking. Almost a half-hitch...

Mind you, ABOK (*) would give it a No, as being possibly a bit unstable...(he uses a variety of funny icons for knots he classifies but can't remember which are which. Will go and look.)

(*) Ashley Book of Knots...the International Guild of Knot Tyers (sic) "bible".

Yes:-)

We have no time to stand and stare?"

I'm glad you liked the photos. Yes, the knot was named by the commentator, but i cannot remember the name.

The air show was in 2009. Virgin Atlantic wad celebrating their 25th Anniversary, and showed of one of their newest Boeing 747-400 planes.

The fly past with the Red Arrows was a one off and a great honour for VA. VA did a solo circuit.

I bet!!
What a show -- gives me the trembles looking at them... something to do with the combination of the very large and the smalls close together like that. And going very fast. The photo with the two Arrows upside down & practically touching-- whoa!!

I see that Richard B. has brought the Virgin up to be properly genteel and lift her little fingers when drinking her tea, as all posh girls should do:-). (For those in ???, the plane's wing tips are pointing elegantly skywards.)

The "Concorde" formation is a bit sad. She came over us here during her last week.

Re the knotted plume-- interesting that the commentator actually named it. I will try and find out what it might have been from some expert knotter friends. (They Know Everything.)

And can't decide which icon Ashley might have given it. Could be:
The little knackered donkey ("Weak") or
The dishy dancing girl ("Purely Ornamental") or
The skull & crossbones ("Dangerous").
Definitely the spouting whale ("Probably Original").
But not the wedding ring ("Difficult to Untie") :-)

Thanks for those wonderful photos!

I am watching Jeremy Kyle with my parrot, he loves watching JK, I have no idea why, lol.

My brain was wondering what your parrot was doing being with JK. And why you were there watching them both...?

He watches him every morning, and every afternoon on ITV2, he is a strange parrot, but I love him, so much, he does like watching football as well, though he likes to whistle at players xD. I love spending time with him. I dunno how he got into watching it, maybe he previous owner used to watch it. But hey.... He's still my awesome parrot :D. Best stay on topic haha xD.

How about a photo or two of your awesome, JK loving parrot on the "Post your Pet" thread? And some more about his sayings? If you post yours, I will post ours...promise!
