Making Hummingbird food!!

Keep on feeding them! They're getting ready for the long flight south. I saw one this morning trying to get nectar from a closed flower. I usually have just one show up, just once in late spring and once in the fall - I guess this is my visit.

Keep on feeding them! They're getting ready for the long flight south. I saw one this morning trying to get nectar from a closed flower. I usually have just one show up, just once in late spring and once in the fall - I guess this is my visit.

Last night my hubbie and I were out on the patio watching all the hummingbirds. We saw sometimes 4 at a time which is very unusual. Typically its been one hummingbird that has become very territorial of the feeders,but now we're seeing different ones. I have a few pics I will post later to show how chunky they are getting for preparations of their flight southward. I will certainly miss them that's for sure. Putting up that hummingbird feeder in May open my eyes to so many beautiful birds and creatures we see on a daily basis...hope to see some winter birds soon.
