Ok, I’m going to brag, sort of.
I’m using the Files and Documents app along with some self made shortcuts to take scanned images of old meeting minutes, convert them to text, and then clean up formatting. Not all automated, but better than typing it all in by hand. Well, I still have to hand type the handwritten documents. OCR isn’t that good, yet.
One shortcut, used in Files, take’s the selected PDF file, extracts the image/scan and converts it to text, then saves that text in a new file of the same name with the .txt suffix.
The other shortcut, used in Documents text editor, takes the selected text and replaces all the new line’s with spaces. This makes all the selected text into a single paragraph. Still have to manually paste the text back after the shortcut, but a huge time savings from deleting all the extra new lines manually.
The screenshot is heavily redacted, for the Mueller Report esthetic.
