No idea. I use "street", because it's the word I get when I translate "Gasse", which is a small street. There's no white line on the street here either.

Isn't a road outside a village/town?

I would translate "street" as "Strasse" and "alley" or "lane" as "Gasse"

How YUMMY! I wish I was on your shoulder! The neighbor's lawn mower just stopped, I hear a small aircraft practicing flying over head, sounds like a Cessna. My dad taught me how to fly, but not landing or taking off! Both of my brother's got their pilots licenses though!
I can hear him going into a stall and then recovering! Such fun! . .

The birds, more chirpee than usual because it rained and they are all having baths! They are ALL having a party! And the songbird has decided to build it's nest in my forest which my bedroom faces, with the window open the birds are the best sound to wake up to! A bonus if it rained while they slept because everybody's chipper!

Oh WOW! The birds sound just like dolphin's when they chitter, I would be able to tell the difference. The song bird is still singing but it is pouring bucket's right now so I hear the pitter-patter on the roof and that lovely sound when rain hits the leaves of the trees it's flowing past and through.!
