It's 12.14pm here in uk, still no update ! , I'll be doing my update via wifi, I'm already on iOS 5.1.1 iPad 3 so I hope I don't experience any problems, oh, and I'll leave it on charge too during process.

My hunch is Apple isn't time stamping the iOS 6
release because it doesn't want to overload the distribution network.

If Cupertino is ground zero it could take 24 hours or longer to light up all points of distribution.

Just saying, iOS 6 won't come out until 3:00 AM on Thursday the 20th. Make sure you Aussies don't jump in straight away, because apple's servers will be banked up, so give it a few hours.
