So far most of the remakes were not as good as the first version. That's my experience. I didn't see the movie with Noomi Rapace, though, so I can't compare them to each other.

I preferred the original. I thought Rapace's portrayal of Salander was more raw and authentic because the character had never been done.

And I didn't think Daniel Craig was a great cast for Blomkvist.

Christopher Plummer nailed Vanger.
