What's the last movie you saw?

I would have preferred "Barry Lyndon" or "Eyes Wide Shut", but you can't moan at that price. I really wanted 2001 on BluRay. It's my favorite movie of all time, and I celebrated by watching it yesterday. Soundtrack is amazing.

Quite a difference from the original when the technology has improved every little thing, especially the sight and sound!
One of my all time favorites 2001- now THAT would be a treat!

Tonight we watched Chronicle. It was OK, a tale of 3 teenaged boys gaining superpowers without the maturity to use them wisely. I suspect we might have enjoyed it more if we were ~50 years younger.

Sounds like a typical day on Disney XD. Hideous channel. Reminds me of why I rarely watch television.

Took the plunge and watched Clockwork Orange. Wasn't too bad. 2001 is magnificent, as Lanny points out, even limited in my case to a 42" screen. 5.1 soundtrack helps out somewhat, though.

Anyone heard of Sonos soundbar speakers on here? Our tv hasn't got good speakers so our films aren't very loud and just wondered whether anyone can suggest a new sound system for it? I was told these Sonos speakers are wireless.

Not really. I only watched them, because my children had turned on the TV. I prefer watching movies with their original language, if I understand it.
