I just love this video that Gizmodo has found of Kanye West’s performance of All of the Lights and Stronger at Coachella festival the other day. It’s a pretty cool video to watch all on its own, but it’s not actually Kanye’s performance on the stage that you should be looking at, but instead check out the crowd at precisely 0.24. No, it’s not Taylor Swift about to leap up onstage to surprise Kanye, it’s someone holding up their iPad 2 and using it to film the gig, right in the middle of the fray down the front. How you react to this probably says more about how you use your iPad than anything else. If you’re like me and like to keep your iPad tucked away at home in one of several fetching jackets and protective covers, then the sight of an iPad in the middle of a semi-mosh pit type situation will cause you to break out in a cold sweat. If, on the other hand, you’re someone who believes that the iPad is first and foremost a portable device and not to be cosseted and hidden away at home, then you’ll probably be cheering the person on and planning when you can film your own concert spectacular from the audience.
