iDownload Blog reports today that the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) looks set to let passengers use their iPads during takeoff and landing when flying. According to the report, it is expected to be announced by the end of 2013 that passengers can use their iPads, or other tablets, such as Kindles, during those crucial two periods in a flight, which you are currently not allowed to do. Writing in The New York Times’ Bits blog, Nick Bilton said that an industry group that has been working with the FAA on new guidelines for electronic devices will release details about its findings in July. Members of the group include such heavy hitters and interested parties as Amazon and Boeing. However, while these current laws look set to be changed to keep up with the times, and with new research that has proved that it’s not, in fact, unsafe to use devices during landing and takeoff, iDownload Blog says that it will take longer to get the rules changed on cell phones. it will not matter as long as the airlines doesnt educate their stewards with the latest news then they'd still think its not okay and tell us to shut it no matter what the fact is
