Air Dropping Pictures

Ipad model A1701 running Ipados 17.7.3 and iPad model A1458 running iOS 10.3.3

The A1458 ipad will not upgrade to anything higher than the 10.3.3 version.

I’m using the A1458 ipad as a digital photo album which has over 22,000 photos and 35gb of free space.

Majority of pictures were air dropped from my A1701 ipad. Once air dropping stopped working, I was able to send a few pictures using the Message app and a few by email, but now after upgrading to the Ipados 17 series, nothing allows me to transfer pictures.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I haven't used it in a while, but PhotoSync by GmbH was a great transfer app even before AirDrop. It says it's compatible with iPadOS 12 and later. You'll need to download it on both iPads.

Is the problem that you can’t find the AirDrop button in Photos, or that it fails?
