Airport City Launch Requests

Thanks Fred. I saw your note before joining in and grabbing first place. I'm not too far from achieving the Quantum Leap thingy but still need a couple more maps so a first place helps achieve the goal.
Has anyone used a Quantum Leap thing? I was wondering whether all the contributors to the launch would benefit from the shortened flight time or is it just the person with the QL? I suspect it will be the latter.

I've used a couple. I bought 2 by mistake and wasted 700 notes when they first appeared. I thought they were 35 notes each (well they should be anyhow). I'd been lucky the week earlier when GI had credited me 2400 when purchasing 96. So a big chunk was wasted then i had to spend a further 300 notes on launch fuels before the 24 hours ran out. A launch usually takes 2 hours 26 mins I think it is for the lander to return. As soon as the lander has returned you have to launch immediately to get the full value of the quantum leap. Swallow all your greens in no time!

Oh, and it's only the person who's using the quantum leap who gets his/her lander back early.

Long distance items please. My sons Airport is called "Rigby's city" He can't gift anymore as he's been unfairly penalised.

Thanks Luke, this is much as I expected. You was unlucky in your costly purchase. I nearly did the same. I guess that if you had lots of launch material in your warehouse and you had won the quantum thing then there's nothing lost, otherwise, forget it. I'm currently in be position where I consider it ok to launch a rocket from pad 2 if I can achieve first place, to give me the 150 oil barrel. Otherwise, it's not really worthwhile, apart from the feel-good factor of contributing towards a friend's launch.

I've still got 1 quantum leap left. I'm going to have wait until I've tried saving some fuel up or when I next buy some greens.

Might be a good idea sharing the burden of launch fuels when 2 or more people have a quantum leap on the go at the same time. Let me know when you get your hands on one. I'll sort some greens next time the sale is on.
