Need help with this one! Where and how do I retrieve my email from my iPhone 5 once I have archived them? Is there any way of deleting them instead of archive ?

Yes, you can change the settings to turn off archiving in the settings menu>mail, contacts, calendar>select appropriate email account>turnoff archive
