Can anyone help me on the achievements please... Where it says destroy 300 gifts and 500 decorations, do I have to physically place these in the city and then demolish them. And are gifts of billboards etc counted as decorations? I only ask because i feel as though I have been doing this for ages and getting nowhere, there isn't a tally of how many I have destroyed so I just wanted to check I am doing this correctly before I continue to waste £500 per demolish.

Yes , you have to actually place them and then destroy. All gifts counts including billboards.
Count how many gifts you have all together so u know how many you destroyed

I am soooo frustrated right now. Apparently I fat fingered my way to demolishing my sawmill, which I just finished upgrading earlier today. Where the heck is the 'STOP' button??

In 1 minute I will achieve the 667(6) achievement! On my way down to 0! Decided to do the 667(6) 1st in case something happened I could retry on the way back up or even not have to worry going past it and on the way up. I am so glad this is over! I need my farms in storage and I need to build that toy factory cuz I keep getting shipments for puzzles. LOL anyways I feel so free now!

We have a special thread for the requests if you need help with filling your containers. Check it out if you haven't yet.
Also, in one of your previous posts you mentioned how easy it was to accidentally store buildings. There is a simple solution to this problem: fill all your free storage spaces with the structures you don't need, like, for example, decorations -- trees, fountains etc. Then if you accidentally hit "store", the game would just tell you that you don't have room.

I still have to open my port. Does anyone think it's reasonably possible to do this in 10 days or should I just relax and take my time?
I have looked at the wiki site and I should be able to accomplish everything except for collecting the 30 steel details from donut cafes, which depends completely on chance. I'm just wondering if GI have stacked the cards against me? Lol

I managed to do the port in 10 days (just) back when it was first introduced. Not sure how much has changed since. If it was me, I would prepare as much as I could and try for the 10 days, as you say it is all down to collecting steel details and that will be your decider if it is possible or not. Let us know tho, will be interesting to hear how you get on

As far as I know, since the December update it is not possible anymore to prepare items in advance. So training Workers, collecting Pumps and Hammers from friends has become very time consuming.
I would advise: just relax and if you, against all expectations, succeed in time - well, that would be a very pleasant surprise.

Yes I also did it and well within the 10 days but not sure how much you can prepare in advance now since they changed the rules. To give yourself the best chance make sure you have the full 18 donut cafés.

Has anyone completed the hydro plant challenge after they changed the rules? I am thinking of eventually doing it. If memory serves, at some point we need 40 aluminum. So, we can't produce it in advance now?

I have not yet attempted the hpc but from what I have seen the aluminium can't be produced in advance. Whilst it seems other items still can be this requirement along with the lack of drops of suitcases make the 10 day challenge virtually impossible. Someone else may know if anything else can't be produced in advance.

I did . You cant prepare aluminum in advance anymore, it did take cookies , shirts and i think paint made in advance
